Welcoming Your New Rescue Dog
Professional 1-2-1 Dog Training
Evidence-based, ethical, and accredited training
We offer 1-to-1 dog training, supporting dogs and owners with clear, practical, and welfare-focused guidance.
Healthy social skills and effective training don’t happen by chance. Dogs need safe, structured opportunities to learn how to behave, communicate, and respond appropriately — whether that’s in social situations with other dogs or during 1-to-1 training sessions. Our approach prioritises welfare, safety, and positive learning, helping dogs build confidence, emotional regulation, and essential life skills.

Why professional training matters
Dog training is an unregulated industry, meaning anyone can call themselves a dog trainer, regardless of experience, education, or the methods they use. Many trainers and companies operate without formal training or accreditation from recognised professional or regulatory bodies.
Without clear standards or accountability, it is often dogs and their owners who suffer the consequences: inconsistent advice, ineffective training, increased stress, or compromised welfare.
This is why choosing a professionally accredited trainer matters — it ensures that the guidance your dog receives is science-based, ethical, and effective and your dogs welfare is considered at all times.

Why choosing an ABTC-registered trainer matters
I am a registered trainer with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC) and a full member of PACT (Professional Association of Canine Trainers).
These memberships are earned through rigorous assessment, adherence to a strict code of conduct, and ongoing professional development. They cannot simply be purchased, or completed quickly online, and they ensure that my training is ethical, evidence-based, and held to the highest standards with my skill set and knowledge having been tested, independently checked and then formally qualified.

What is the ABTC?
The Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC) is the UK’s leading independent body overseeing standards in animal training and behaviour. It is supported by veterinary organisations, animal welfare charities, RSPCA, The Dog's Trust, The Blue Cross and academic institutions.
The ABTC:
-
Sets nationally recognised standards
-
Independently assesses trainers both practically and theoretically
-
Requires science-led, welfare-centred methods
-
Holds members accountable through ethical oversight
-
Requires continuous learning and professional development
ABTC registration means my work has been independently assessed and meets some of the highest professional standards in the industry.

What does being a full PACT member mean?
PACT is one of the founding organisations of the ABTC and represents experienced, ethical, reward-based trainers.
As a full member of PACT, I have:
-
Demonstrated advanced knowledge and practical skill
-
Committed to force-free, evidence-based training
-
Agreed to ongoing CPD and professional accountability
This provides an additional layer of reassurance that your dog is being trained with skill, compassion, and integrity.

Dog Socialisation Groups
Safe, structured social learning in a fully secure environment
Our dog socialisation groups are held in our private, fully secure 5-acre field, giving dogs the space they need to move, observe, interact, and learn — without the risks that come with public areas, uncontrolled people, dogs, traffic or an unmanageable environment.
Socialisation isn’t about letting dogs “sort it out themselves.” Done well, it’s a carefully managed learning process that helps dogs develop confidence, communication skills, and emotional regulation around other dogs.
That’s why our groups are:
-
Professionally run by trained and experienced staff
-
Carefully structured, not chaotic or overwhelming
-
Matched by size, age, temperament, and needs
-
Designed to prioritise welfare, safety, and learning
Why structured socialisation matters
Dogs are social animals, but they don’t automatically know how to interact appropriately. Good social skills must be learned and practised in the right environment.
Our socialisation groups help dogs:
-
Learn how to read and respond to canine body language
-
Practise calm behaviour around other dogs
-
Build confidence without being forced into interaction
-
Develop vital real-life skills that carry over into walks, training, and daily life
For many dogs, safe social contact is an essential outlet — supporting wellbeing, confidence, and long-term behaviour. Poorly managed interactions, however, can create fear, frustration, or reactivity. This is why professional oversight, experienced staff and thoughtful group design are essential.

A secure space to learn and grow
Our 5-acre private field allows us to:
-
Create appropriate individual groups with the right mix of dogs
-
Control interactions safely and effectively
-
Avoid unpredictable encounters with unknown dogs
-
Tailor sessions to individual needs within the group
This environment gives dogs the freedom to make good choices — and the support to learn from them.

Is this right for my dog?
Our socialisation groups are suitable for a wide range of dogs, including:
-
Puppies learning important early social skills
-
Adolescent dogs needing guidance around other dogs
-
Adult dogs who benefit from positive, structured exposure
-
Dogs who are sociable and enjoy making new canine friends and engaging in safe, playful interactions
All dogs are assessed before joining to ensure the group remains safe, supportive, and enjoyable for everyone.
This allows us to tailor sessions to each dog’s needs while maintaining a positive, safe and calm environment.

Socialisation Session Prices

1 dog, 1-hour session – £16.50
-
2 dogs, 1-hour session – £22.00
